Our story

Star Pathways was birthed to help everyday people in our society dealing with mental health challenges. Our mission is to provide empathetic, best in class psychiatric and therapeutic care to our clients. We believe in utilizing client centered approaches to achieve a goal of holistic wellness for clients. Our board certified mental health professionals believe in meeting clients where they are and assisting in guiding them on their journey to life balance and mental wellness.

As mental health professionals, we help clients explore and decide how to move along the spectrum of life. Our treatment modalities include medication management as well as counseling. Our main areas of specialty include mental disorders that affect adult patients suffering from anxiety, depression, dementia, psychosis, and substance abuse among other disorders.

Executive Director

Yvette Dorsey-Benson is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about helping individuals and families that struggle to manage stress, issues surrounding mental health and the day-to-day challenges that life can bring. “Understanding that we all experience dissatisfaction in life sometime or another is real. It’s ok not to be ok”.

“I believe that achieving mental wellness and recovery is possible and, that the approach must be holistic. I further believe that “every human-being is a multidimensional, unique treasure” and with the help of a committed, empathetic mental health professional, you can achieve the greatness that you were created for.

Quality Customer Relations Manager

Jamie Benson is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Health Education. Between her collegiate studies, and pre and current professional involvements, Jamie has considerable experience with customer relations. She is passionate about providing a comfortable yet exceptional experience for all that she comes in contact with. Jamie also takes pride in her attentiveness to details as it relates to diversity and inclusion.

"I find beauty in getting to connect and build relationships with people who share views that are different from mine. I believe that those differences are what cultivate some of the most valuable experiences and connections." In her free time, Jamie enjoys reading thriller novels, being a freelance makeup artist, and spending time with family and friends.
